Visit our demonstration farm and centre and learn about regenerative principles in a light and engaging way!

We are having an open day on our farm, to invite in local people from the community, particularly inviting in families and children, to learn about life on a farm (what it is like to live on a farm) and the life on a farm (all the other beings we share the farm space with) and how humans and wider nature can interact and live harmoniously.

We will have storytelling, food made from produce growing on the land, and we will share ideas for people to take away to their own spaces - even if they live in an urban or more limited area. There will be biodiversity ideas that we have implemented that can act as inspiration for people to try out in their own homes, communities and community centres.

We wish to raise awareness within the local community in the wider Carrickmacross area, and particularly with families, of the biodiversity and life on the farm - both as a way of living on a farm, as well as the life that exists due to the regenerative and restorative way the farm is managed.

We will host a guided tour of our Environmental Demonstration Centre, offering members of the community a practical, hands-on opportunity to learn how biodiversity can be created and supported in everyday settings. The tour will demonstrate simple, achievable actions that can be applied in gardens, community centres, and farms. Participants will be shown examples of biodiversity-friendly practices in action, including habitat creation, native planting, soil care, and nature-based solutions that support pollinators and wildlife. The guided tour will focus on low-cost, accessible approaches that can be adapted to both rural and urban contexts.

Supported by Monaghan County Council.
