Description

Join us for a compelling 6-hour event exploring the profound connections between the top six inches of soil, human well-being, and the fabric of our communities. This immersive workshop is part of the Erasmus+ “Soil Soul Society” project and is designed to deepen your understanding of how soil health influences personal and societal resilience.

Through engaging discussions, hands-on activities, and practical demonstrations, participants will explore how regenerative practices can restore soil, nurture the human spirit, and strengthen community ties. You will also receive educational tools, activities, and resources developed within the Soil Soul Society project to support ongoing learning and application in your own context.

The event begins with an introduction and overview of the “Soil Soul Society” project, highlighting the importance of the top six inches of soil for sustaining life. Participants will then delve into soil health basics through a presentation on soil’s role in ecosystems and hands-on exploration of soil samples. A guided nature activity will follow, encouraging reflection on the connection between soil and personal well-being, with group discussions to share insights. The focus then shifts to community building, where attendees will learn permaculture principles and collaborate on designing resilient community spaces using project tools. A hands-on session at the farm provides practical experience in regenerative practices and explores how these can be applied in everyday contexts. The day concludes with a closing circle to reflect on key learnings, plan next steps, and enjoy informal networking with refreshments.

This event offers a unique opportunity to deepen your understanding of soil’s critical role in life and its implications for personal growth and societal development. Come prepared to learn, connect, and contribute to building a sustainable future, equipped with tools and resources to take action in your own community.

This activity is a multiplier event, part of the Erasmus+ project “Soil, Soul, Society – holistic approaches for youth development,” a Cooperation Partnership funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Commission, between Dreams for Life from Romania, Siolta Chroi from Ireland and KobieTY from Poland.
