Treasurer

Deirdre Gavin

Deirdre believes that strong financial stewardship is the quiet foundation of any organisation pursuing meaningful change.
deirdre gavin

Deirdre brings over a decade of not-for-profit finance, funding and governance experience to her role as Treasurer.

Background

Deirdre has worked in the not-for-profit sector since 2015 with multiple NGOs, primarily in project implementation and management, youth advocacy, development education and philanthropy funding. She has held roles in project and funding management and on the operational side of NGOs, reporting to boards on financial and governance matters. She is no stranger to collaborating with international partners on projects across Europe, Vietnam and Tanzania. Deirdre currently works for a consulting company that supports government ministries and agencies overseas with their strategic plans.

Approach & philosophy

Deirdre believes good governance and transparent financial management are what free an organisation to focus on its mission. She treats budgets and reporting not as constraints but as tools that build trust with funders, partners and communities and keep ambitious work grounded and sustainable.

Recognition

Recognised by boards and colleagues for dependable financial stewardship and for bringing clarity and rigour to funding and reporting across complex, multi-country NGO programmes.
