Gráinne is a global education practitioner whose work in Ireland and internationally informs Síolta Chroí's learning and facilitation programmes.
Background
Gráinne has been involved in global education for over twelve years, working in Ireland — north and south — with different groups of learners, with a particular interest in teacher professional development. Her experiences with Barefeet Theatre in Zambia initiated much of the energy and methodological creativity she now brings to her practice. She works with Global Learning NI and the Centre for Global Education, designing programmes that connect classrooms to global issues of climate change, inequality and justice.
Approach & philosophy
Gráinne believes that education is one of the most powerful levers for systemic change — and that the best global education starts with embodied, creative practice. At Síolta Chroí she brings that approach into facilitation, helping connect the organisation's hands-on regenerative work to the bigger questions of climate, equity and global solidarity.
