Deirdre brings over a decade of global justice and development education experience to Síolta Chroí's work.
Background
Deirdre has been involved in global justice work for more than ten years in education and awareness-raising roles. She completed a Masters in Economics for Transition, which explored alternatives to the current destructive economic system. Her work has focused on the role that community-based groups can play in creating local solutions to some of our biggest global problems.
Approach & philosophy
At Síolta Chroí, Deirdre's interest in economics for transition meets the organisation's hands-on work on the land. She believes that meaningful change requires both systemic critique and local, practical action — building new economic and ecological models from the ground up, rooted in community.
